SULTAN DIRECTS MUSLIM TO LOOK OUT FOR NEW MOON OF DHUL-HIJJAH

 The Sultan of Sokoto and President General, Nigeria Preeminent Board for Islamic Issues (NSCIA), Alhaji Sa'ad Abubakar III, has guided the Muslim Ummah to pay special attention to the new moon of Dhul-Hijjah as from this evening.

Sultan expressed this in a proclamation yesterday in Sokoto by the Director of the Warning Panel on Strict Issues of the Sultanate Board, Prof. Sambo Junaidu.

"This is to illuminate the Muslim Ummah that Wednesday, June 29, which is comparable to 29th of Dhul-Qidah 1443AH, will be the day to pay special attention to the new moon of Dhul-Hijjah 1443AH.

"Muslims are, in this manner, mentioned to begin searching for the new moon on Wednesday and report its locating to the closest region or town head for ahead correspondence to the Ruler," he said.

The Ruler pray to Allah to help the Muslim Ummah in the release of its strict obligations.

Dhul-Hijjah is the twelfth and last month in the Islamic schedule wherein the blessed journey (Hajj) happens, as well as the celebration of festival of sacrifice, called Eid-el-Kabir.
